Navigating So Many Different Diets

I tried to focus on the cycle syncing diet as much as I could, but I was also following the low FODMAP diet and avoiding my food sensitivities. The low FODMAP diet is basically avoiding foods that can trigger my IBS. Between all of these diets, the only things that I could really eat were protein, a few vegetables, and a few carbs.
This was definitely an adjustment, but it wasn’t that bad until we would go out to eat or travel. It was pretty hard to find restaurants that would offer healthy sides (vegetables or a potato that isn’t deep-fried). For the main protein, I would just focus on a burger without the bun, steak, seafood, or a grilled chicken breast, which wasn’t that hard as most restaurants had that as an option. It was more so the sides that were difficult to find.
As far as cooking at home, planning out our meals in advance made this lifestyle much easier to handle. Another thing that we do is double the recipes we make and then freeze the leftovers with the portion sizes for lunch and supper. This also makes it much easier so that we don’t have to cook every day. Well, my husband does the cooking and I do the cleaning. So this is easier because then my husband doesn’t have to cook every day. He also works 24-hour shifts, so I have food to eat while he is working and I don’t have to deal with cooking and cleaning up for just myself.
