More Tests & Chiropractic Care

I actually stayed on this diet for the next several months as I was starting to feel better. I also don’t like the word diet, because you usually go on a diet for a couple of months or with the goal to lose weight. My goal with this new diet, or as I like to call it, “lifestyle change,” was to heal my stomach pains and to heal my gut. Over the next few months, I was definitely feeling better, but I would still have more bad days than good days. I talked to Cara about this, and she recommended doing some additional tests. 


I completed a breath test to see if I had SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth), and that test was negative. Another thing to know about me is I absolutely hate needles, regardless of the size or who is getting stabbed. The next test I got to do was prick my finger three times a day (basically with every meal) to test my ketone and glucose levels. I had to do this every day for a month straight, and surprisingly I did get used to it, but I still HATE needles. All of my glucose and ketone levels were in the normal range, so again another test that didn’t show any results. The next step that Dr. Cara recommended was starting chiropractic care with Dr. Steve Nagle.


Dr. Steve started off by completing a full x-ray scan of my spine, and the results showed that quite a few of my vertebrae were misaligned, and those vertebrae were connected to my stomach issues and even my vertigo issues I was experiencing. Obviously, I am not a doctor, so I am not explaining this as well as Dr. Steve would, but the bottom line is that my body was out of whack and causing these symptoms, and by regular chiropractic adjustments/care over the next couple of years, it would help alleviate my stomach pains.
